Cosmetic Treatment
Silver fillings can be replaced with white fillings. These can be placed directly into the tooth or be made from porcelain in the laboratory. www.ivoclar.com
Teeth with very large silver fillings require white crowns because there will be insufficient tooth remaining to retain a white filling. www.schottlander.co.uk
White crowns can be made without metal linings but retaining the same strength. This leads to a much more natural looking crown with no grey edges.
We will very often combine tooth whitening with appropriate veneers and crowns to obtain the best appearance. Please see case studies page for examples.
Porcelain veneers can be used to hide stained teeth or mishapen teeth with minimal tooth reduction resulting in a natural appearance.
We provide full diagnostic wax models of proposed treatment for discussion prior to treatment. We can also provide gingiual (gum) recontouring.
