Dental implants are titanium posts which are placed into the jaw bone to support a future restoration.
There are many cases where implants can replace single natural teeth or be used to support bridgework or dentures.
There are normally 2 stages to placing an implant. The first is to surgically place the implant. After a period of healing (3 months) the second stage is to fabricate a restoration. Implants are now recognised as the first treatment choice to replace lost teeth.
